BEST DJ · MUSIC FOR EVERYONE
Booking & application terms
Applications and review
Artist applications and listings are free, with no paid plans. Every profile requires Best DJ review; approval does not guarantee gigs and is not an identity, credit or payment guarantee. Confirmed email and an approved venue profile are required to send enquiries.
Clear fees and agreed arrangements
Best DJ charges 10% deducted from the artist’s performance fee and 10% added for the venue, each calculated on the same fee excluding VAT and separately itemised expenses. On £500, the artist performance net is £450, the venue total is £550 before VAT and expenses, and the combined commission is £100.
Each quote records its rates, VAT, expenses, payment schedule, travel and equipment responsibilities and cancellation arrangements. Both sides acknowledge the exact quote; accepted quotes cannot be rewritten. A booking needs Best DJ approval before it is confirmed.
No payment processing or electronic signatures
The website does not take card payments, hold money or automatically mark fees paid. Received commission is recorded manually by Best DJ. Printable agreements are unsigned drafts, not a reviewed legal contract or an electronic-signature service.
Musicians’ Union live-performance contract guidanceAbout this summary
These are the current application and booking rules, not a complete set of legal website terms. No app-store certification or legal-contract review is claimed.
